We're the Parker family, and we decided to build an ADU because we wanted to give our daughter and her fiancé a great start to their future together.

We didn't want to see them continue to spend money on rent because it's so costly nowadays.

With their wedding coming up, we wanted them to have a place they could truly call home without the financial burden of today's expensive rental market. She and her fiancé wanted a home base where they could begin their married life together, enjoy their independence, and still be surrounded by family.

Now that the ADU is nearly ready for move-in, seeing everything come together has been incredibly exciting.

The finished home is even more impressive than we imagined. The layout creates distinct areas that make the space feel much larger and more functional. There's a welcoming area for guests and an office, along with a separate, cozy living space and a beautiful primary bedroom and bathroom that almost feels like a spa.

It just feels like our living space, but also space for other people. I really like the flow of it.

What we love most is that the ADU gives our daughter and her fiancé the best of both worlds: a home of their own and the comfort of having family nearby.

We're excited for them to move in, start their next chapter together, and enjoy a space that was designed specifically for them.
