I’ve built three homes and several other buildings—and I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had building a structure.

This space isn’t just an ADU to me. I look at it as investing in a life experience. It’s a place my children, friends, and grandchildren can enjoy together. It’s become a special place for my family, where kids from ages four to nineteen come to play and relax. Now, they want to come see grandma and grandpa.

When challenges came up, Backyard Estates handled them. I had never dealt with an HOA before and it was frustrating—but thank God Backyard Estates came in and helped me with it. They worked directly with the HOA, handled the plans, and once it reached the city, everything moved quickly and smoothly. Because of their reputation, the city approval was seamless and painless.

While I was on vacation for two weeks, they kept everything moving. When I returned, the foundation was poured and framing was already underway. They coordinated with landscaping, concrete, the pool contractor, and even the company designing the simulator room—making sure everything fit perfectly. They took the lead and documented the entire schedule.

It was very professional, very easy, very seamless. No stress on me whatsoever.
